Updated on 24th May 2021 The Club is still unable to advise when we will be able to restart our meetings but we are hoping that this will be in September. At a Committee meeting held on the 17th May it was decided that due to the continuing restrictions we would again hold this years AGM by contacting all members by post. The date for the AGM has been set as Thursday 17th June and by now all members should have received the AGM Agenda, the Secretary’s letter and reports and the Club Accounts for the year ending 31st March 2021. In addition there are four items on the Agenda to be voted on. These are: 1. approval of the accounts for the year ending 31st March 2021. 2. appointment of the honorary auditor. 3. election of the committee for the forthcoming year. 4. seek approval for the AGM procedures in the future to be notified by e mail to all members who have provided contact e mail addresses to the Membership Secretary, and also by using notification on the Stampersham, org.uk web site.
Please contact the Secretary by the direct link on this web site, by e mail or post if you have any queries, also to register your vote in favour or against the items above.
A full report will follow after the AGM on the 17th June.
PACKETS The Packet Circuit has recommenced now, see the announcement on the Packets page.
SOCIETY’S AUCTION We are planning to recommence these in October, further details will be announced in due course.
In normal times the Society meets at the Old Barn Hall at the Amersham Community Centre fortnightly, from September until June. The meetings start at 7.30pm and are usually finished by 9.30pm. Most of the meetings start with any club business followed by a Guest Speaker and takes the form of an illustrated display. We have a half time break to take a closer look at the display and have a chance for a coffee and a chat too. See our separate programme page.
Annual subscriptions are only £5.00. During the temporary period we are not meeting it has been decided to waive the annual subscription.
We hold three auctions each year and provide a fully descriptive catalogue and the opportunity to view lots beforehand. See our separate auction page.
The Society runs a comprehensive packet circuit, with a wide variety of good quality material which is competitively priced. See our separate packet circuit page.
The Society has a small library which consists mainly of Stanley Gibbons catalogues including some SG specialised catalogues covering GB. We also have four signascope watermark detectors, one ultra violet lamp for checking phosphor bands etc, and a Perfotronic perforation gauge with a digital read out. These are available for members to borrow for short periods. For further information please contact the Secretary
